The artworks by Sam of evironsART are abstract expressionistic
compositions extending the “color field”
movement established in 1965 by the
Washington
Color
School.
His artworks combine his architectural instincts of “spent light” with his
environmental sensitivities of “spent energy” forming a dynamic abstract
composition. Using the architectural
elements of form, texture, and color, he merges the principles of “spent light”
and “spent energy” to generate an intuitive explosion in a moment of time. This adventure in abstract art seeks to
capture Nature’s formula for creativity while he implements the forces of wind
and water into his composition process. His final artworks combine vibrant
colors in layer upon layer over and through various surface textures of applied
building material to capture a meaningful moment of abstract expression. His
juxtaposition of color explosion and movement is what gives each original work a
unique mood and sensational quality. Each
emotional and tactile composition attempts to awaken the unconscious senses of
the unsuspecting mind of each viewer. He finds delightful color and form discoveries
in each unbridled, intuitive nature of his compositions while implementing the wind
and water motions of nature under the watchful human sensitivities of the
artist.
